The study aimed to identify the social and psychological effects on the elderly as a result of the pressures imposed on them as a result of the COVID-19, and to identify the trends of the study sample towards the psychological and social effects attributable to variables (gender, age, place of residence, marital status, general health status), and to achieve Objectives of the study: The method was used for descriptive analysis and the questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection. The sample of the study consisted of (620) elderly individuals, selected through the purposive sample, by distributing an electronic questionnaire to Mu'tah University students, who are from most of the governorates of Jordan, and it was filled out through them from their elderly who are over 60 years old. The results of the study showed that the social and psychological effects of the spread of the COVID-19 on the elderly in the Jordanian society came at a high level, and the existence of statistically significant differences between the average answers of the study sample towards the social effects of the spread of the COVID-19 on the elderly in the Jordanian society attributed (place of residence, marital status, General health status), and the presence of statistically significant differences between the average of the study sample responses towards the psychological effects of the spread of the COVID-19 on the elderly in the Jordanian society attributed (age, place of residence, marital status, general health status). And the there is no significant differences in the social and psychological effects of the spread of the Corona pandemic on the elderly in Jordanian society due to the variable of gender, and accordingly the study recommended the need for attention and care The elderly should not be subjected to pressures from the media and rumors. The study also recommended providing safe environments for them socially, culturally and psychologically. Key words: Social and Psychological effects, Elderly, CORONA PANDEMIC, Jordanian society
