AbstractObjectives: The study aimed to investigate the phenomenon of sexual harassment, its causes, and the locations where female students at Mu'tah University experience it. Additionally, it aimed to determine the variations in the occurrence of harassment among female students of Mu'tah University based on factors such as year of study, age, college residency and monthly incomeMethods: The study employed a descriptive analytical approach, and the study population consisted of 432 students. A sexual harassment questionnaire was developed, comprising a total of 35 paragraphs. Results: The study's findings revealed patterns in the occurrence of harassment, significant differences related to various factors, and insights into the phenomenon of harassment among Mu'tah University students. These factors included the year of study, place of residence, and monthly income. Conclusions: This research lays the foundation for future studies on harassment. It also suggests that the university should establish dedicated centers in collaborationwith other institutions to explore these phenomena. Such efforts would contribute to fostering a supportive environment characterized by order and stability.Keywords:Harassment, female college students.

 

 

 

ظاهرة التحرُّش لدى طالبات الجامعات [دراسة تطبيقيَّة على طلبة جامعة مؤتة

الملخص

الأهداف: هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرُّف حجم ظاهرة التحرُّش الجنسي وأسبابه وأشكاله والأماكن التي يحدث فيها من وجهة نظر الطالبات في جامعة مؤتة، كما هدفت إلى تعرُّف درجة الاختلاف في ظاهرة التحرُّش لدى طالبات الجامعة باختلاف السنة الدراسة والعمر والكليَّة ومكان الإقامة والدخل الشهري.

المنهجية: استُخدِم المنهجُ الوصفي التحليلي، وتكوَّن مجتمع الدراسة من (432) طالبةً.

النتائج: أشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود آليات للتحكم في التحرُّش الجنسي من الجهات الرسمية بهدف التقليل من ممارسته ضد الطالبات، كما أشارت إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لظاهرة التحرُّش لدى طالبات جامعة مؤتة تعزى لمتغيِّر (الكليَّة)، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لهذه الظاهرة لدى طالبات جامعة مؤتة تُعزى لمتغيِّرات (السنة الدراسة ومكان الإقامة والدخل الشهري).

الخلاصة: يمهِّد هذا البحثُ الطريقَ لأبحاث مستقبلية تستهدف دراسة ظاهرة التحرُّش، ويوصي بأن تنشئ الجامعة بالتعاون مع الجامعات الأخرى مراكز متخصصة لدراسة هذه الظواهر؛ مما يسهم في توفير بيئة دافئة يسود فيها النظام والاستقرار.
