ABSTRACT:

The strategies of peer-tutoring seem to gain more recognition in academic circles in educational institutions. This study aims at exploring an aspect that is less examined by the literature on the subject, namely the question of how translation trainees act while having the role of peer-tutors in the translation training programme. The literature on the subject has been implemented to examine the efficiency of translation training of using this method at the semi-professional level. The feedback received from trainees is informative in many ways, as it provides a better understanding of the multi-sided interpersonal relationships involved in the process, as well as the problems may raise while acting as a translation training peer-tutor. Furthermore, the feedback shows us how to provide better support for trainees in the process.
