Abstract: The population trends of the gape berry moth and its parasites during growth of grapevines were studied on Salti cultivar in 1996 and 1996 seasons. It was found that the insect attached grapevines during the whole season and it is a serious pest during fruit growth and development period. Apparently, the insect has four generations a year. The second and third generations are the most important ones on grapevines. The insect is considered a key pest in grape culture in Jordan. Two parasites were found to attach the grape berry month larvae. The braconid parasite, Ascogaster quidridentatata W. caused high rate of parasitism on the grape berry moth larvae. Therefore, it may be considered of potential importance as biological control agent for the insect. The other, an Ichneumonid sp. caused very low rate of parasitism.
