This study aims at investigating whether English language students at Mutah university are instrumentally or intrinsically motivated. To achieve the purpose of the study , the researcher designed a questionnaire of (17) items , that were applied to a sample consist of (155) male and female English Language Class Teacher students.The results of the study showed that students were instrumentally motivated. The study , also, addresses some recommendations and suggestions .
