Abstract

The Relationship Between Some of The Characteristics Of Information And Control Effectiveness From The Emplayee Point Of View In Jordanian Governmental Organizations.

The Purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the characteristics of information and effectiveness of control in the Jordanian governmental organizations.

In order to achieve the objectives of this study, questionnaire was developed and distributed to (16.47) percent from the study’s population. The total number of returned questionnaires; which was analyzed, is (234) equal to 78% of  the sample’s study. (Spss, 10) version and certain statistical means have been used in the study as:

1- Descriptive statistical measures.              2- Simple regression analysis

3- Multiple regression analysis.                         4- Pearson’s correlation matrix.

5- Stepwise regression analysis.

The study reveals that there is a statistically significant relation between the characteristics of information (accuracy, time, comprehensive, relevance, and measurability) and control effectiveness. The study suggests the following recommendations:

A- Jordanian administrators in governmental organizations must care more about information characteristics.

B- It is necessary to develop and improve the information networks so as to suit the nature and purposes of administrative control.

C- The specialized personnel must be trained on information systems in order to level up their understanding and treatment of M.I.S.

D- Administrators must consider that the characteristics of information is the main factor of success in public organizations.
