Abstract
This study aims at identifying time utilization of Qatari government middle managers, and their daily time activities including time wasters and cost.
The sample of this study consists of (205) participants who were randomly selected from the middle management in five Qatari service ministries.
A questionnaire was used as a research tool to measure time management and effectiveness.
The results of this study reveal that time effectiveness is below average (3.4 out of 5) on Likert scale and that 77.6% of managers time are utilized in official activities. Also 22.4% of mangers time is spent in personal affairs. Finally, the outcome of the study shows no significant effects of education, social status, age and position on time management effectiveness.
