• Abstract: 
  • This study aimed at identifying the administrative competences for the diving instructors in Jordan from the perspective of the employees (managers dive centers and diving in structures). The descriptive approach was adopted as a survey method. The study sample consisted of 58 managers and diving instructors with 20 managers 38 diving instructors, and it was chosen in the intentional way. The study tool consisted of 42 items, distributed to six domains: Training and technical, professional and personal, administrative and planning, communication and interaction, motivation and incentive, information and sporting knowledge. The arithmetic means, standard deviations and variance coefficients were used as the statistical methods. The results showed that the competences among the diving instructors in Jordan were of a high degree, as follows: Professional and personal, motivation and incentive, information and sporting knowledge, communication and interaction, administrative and planning, and finally Training and technical. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) regarding the competences that should be available among the diving instructors in Jordan attributed to the variables of (educational qualification, experience, and monthly income), while they showed statistically significant differences regarding the variable of title in favor of the instructors. In the light of the study results, the researchers recommended to pay more attention for setting the content and the programs of the training courses as well as betterment and recovery based on the results of this study.
