This study aimed to assess the level of cognitive awareness among parents of children with cerebral palsy, as well as their commitment to physical rehabilitation sessions. It also examined differences in both awareness and commitment based on selected variables, including educational level, monthly income, gender, and age group. Additionally, the study explored the relationship between cognitive awareness and commitment to physical rehabilitation sessions in light of these variables. The study population consisted of all parents of children with cerebral palsy registered at specialized centers for individuals with motor disabilities—Basma Center and Nabd Center—in Karak Governorate. The sample included 62 parents, comprising 40 males (65.5%) and 22 females (35.5%). A descriptive research design was employed, as it was deemed appropriate for the nature of the study. To collect data, the researcher developed a questionnaire composed of two sections. The first section assessed the level of cognitive awareness among parents of children with cerebral palsy and included 15 items. The second section evaluated parents’ commitment to physical rehabilitation sessions and also consisted of 15 items. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The statistical methods applied included arithmetic means, standard deviations, Student’s t-test, one-way ANOVA, and the Scheffé post hoc test.
