Abstract :

The interactions of neon gas atoms are studied over a wide in the temperature-range 20-2400 K. An approach for calculation of classical second virial coefficients for neon is described. Also, the first quantum corrections of the classical second virial coefficients are calculated for T < 100K. The results are undertaken using a family of semiphenomenological potentials that describe the interactions in neon gas atoms. The Boyle’s and Joule inversion temperatures are determined. The results are combined with experimental second virial data to investigate the interatomic potentials of neon. The agreement between experimental and calculated values of Boyle’s and Joule inversion temperatures is excellent for SAAP potential.
