ABSTRACT:

An experimental investigation has been conducted to propose a complex solution for the problem of softening the foundry molds and cores depending on liquid-glass binders. The proposed solution, employing complex softening modifiers, has been characterized experimentally and showed positive results. To ascertain the effectiveness of combining the constituents that provide softening of the liquid-glass mixture in intervals of low (200-300С0) and high temperatures (700-800С0), the obtained results have been checked by various industrial tests. High-quality casting has been achieved which proves the efficiency of this combining.
