abstract :
The scarcity of energy supplies has recently become one of the most pressing global issues. Jordan, in particular, is facing a significant problem in terms of fossil fuel resources, particularly in generating electrical energy from thermal power plants. For this investigation, a typical Hybrid fuel (natural gas, and Diesel fuel) thermal plant in Jordan which is Korea southern power CO. LTD./Jordan L.L.C. (KOSPO-Jordan), consists of two gas turbines and a steam turbine with a full load of 400 MW. This work aimed to study the exergy and energy of the KOSPO plant to identify the location and the devices with high energy losses due to the high irreversibility which is leading to decreased plant performance. The investigation aimed to help in improving the KOSPO power plant by highlighting the zones with high energy losses and suggesting a way to get rid of them
