Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the reality of the use of educational technology and its relationship to the quality of performance in light of the Corona crisis from educational counselors in secondary schools in the Karak governorate, and the study sample, which amounted to (171) counselors, was chosen. Standard deviations, one-way analysis of variance, Scheffe test, and simple regression. The study reached a set of results, the most prominent of which were:
- The reality of the use of educational technology from the educational counselors' point of view was moderate, and that the degree of performance of educational counselors in secondary schools in Karak governorate from their point of view was high.
- There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the reality of using educational technology in educational counselors due to the variable of gender in favor of females, and to the variable of experience in favor of experienced educational counselors (from 5-10).
- There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the reality of using educational technology in educational counselors due to the educational qualification variable.
- There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the performance of educational counselors in secondary schools in Karak governorate from their point of view due to the variable of experience and in favor of experienced educational counselors (more than 10).
- There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the performance of educational counselors in secondary schools in Karak Governorate from their point of view due to the variable of gender, and the variable of educational qualification.
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the reality of using educational technology and the degree of performance of educational counselors in secondary schools in Karak Governorate from their point of view.
The study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which were: The Ministry of Education taking its role in taking care of the employment of educational technology and promoting its use in light of the Corona crisis because of its impact on improving the performance of educational counselors in secondary schools in the Karak governorate.
