Abstract :

This study aimed detecting The extent to which communication apprehension contributes to psychological loneliness in the elderly recovered from Covid virus -(19) in Jordan. In order to achieve the study objectives, the study were applied to a convenient sample of the elderly people those consisted of (158) individuals. The researcher developed the scale of communication apprehension and used the scale of psychological loneliness developed by (Obaid, 2010). The results revealed that there is a medium level of communication apprehension and a high level of psychological loneliness. The results showed that there is a relationship between communication apprehension and psychological loneliness, and that the dimensions of communication apprehension predict about (27%) psychological loneliness. The results also revealed that communication apprehension is higher among males as compared to females. In the light of the results, the study recommended the necessity Knowing the factors associated with communication apprehension and psychological loneliness in the elderly, through the study of other demographic variables. مجلة الدراسات / العلوم التربوية
