الثقافة العلمية المُتَضَمَّنَة في كتاب العلوم للصف الثامن الأساسي في الأردن ومدى إلمام طلبة منطقة القصر بها
ملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة مكونات الثقافة العلمية الأربعة: الطبيعة المعرفية للعلم، والطبيعة البحثية للعلم، والطبيعة التفكيرية للعلم، والتفاعل بين العلم والتكنولوجيا والمجتمع المتضمنة في كتاب العلوم للصف الثامن ، ومعرفة درجة اكتساب طلبة منطقة القصر لها، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير نموذج لتحليل محتوى كتاب العلوم ، ومن ثم تم إعداد اختبار للثقافة العلمية. وتم التأكد من صدق وثبات الاداتين. وتم تطبيق الاختبار في نهاية الفصل الدراسي الثاني 2004/2005، على عينة الدراسة المكونة من (705) طالب وطالبة من مدارس مديرية منطقة القصر. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن كتاب العلوم للصف الثامن الأساسي توزعت فيه مكونات الثقافة العلمية بحيث كانت النسبة الأكبر لمكون الطبيعة المعرفية للعلم، يليه المكونات الأخرى، كما أظهرت الدراسة بأن مستوى الثقافة العلمية لدى الطلبة متدني. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة اهتمام التربويين بتوزيع مكونات الثقافة في كتب العلوم ، كما أوصت بإجراء مزيدا من الدراسات لمعرفة مدى اكتساب الطلبة لمكونات الثقافة العلمية في المراحل الدراسية الأخرى، ولمعرفة سبب التدني في مستوى الثقافة العلمية لدى طلبة الصف الثامن.
The Scientific Literacy Included in the Science Textbook
of the Eighth-Grade in Jordan and the Extent to Which the Students in Al-Qaser Region Have Obtained it
Abstract:
This study aimed to know the four components of scientific literacy: the knowledge nature of science, the investigative nature of science, the thinking nature of science, and the interaction between science, technology, and society in the science Textbook of Eighth-Grade. It also aimed to know the extent to which the student in Al-Qaser region have obtained them. To achieve these aims a model to analyze the content of the Eighth-Grade science Textbook was developed, and constructed a scientific literacy test.
The Model and the test validity and reliability have been confirmed. The test applying at the sample group of (705) students from Qaser schools, at the end of the second semester of the scholastic year 2004/2005. The results of the study showed that the scientific literacy component distributing in the science Textbook of Eighth-Grade, and the large percentage was in the knowledge nature of science. The results also showed that the level of scientific literacy of the Eighth-Grade students was low.
According to these results, the study recommended more researches to be conducted on science Textbooks in different stages to investigate the level of scientific literacy in their content. And make more researches about the level of scientific literacy in different stages, and more research to know the reasons of the low level in scientific literacy of the Eighth- Grade students.
