Abstract

The Present research deals with the Quranic-Poetics overlap in the Diwan of Fityan AL-Shagouri, A prominent Syrian poet at the crusade era. The poet uses various styles in citing Quranic verses, employing single words and emitting a Quranic atmosphere in certain poems. A large amount of his poetry reflects a religious culture. The research has also proved that Al-Shagouri has made use of his predecessors in the production of poetic significance by means of embodiment, imitation and opposition.
