Effectiveness as a physical education teacher on the evolution of the performance of practical education
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the cooperative Physical Education Teacher (P.E.T) upon the performance of Student Teacher (S.T) through the field application period.
The sample consisted of (87) students (male & female) errolled at the course of practical physical education for the academic year 2000/2001 in the first semester. The researcher established a questionnaire which consisted of two parts, the first one measures the effectiveness of P.E.T. towards students of the practical P.E, the second, measures what the student-teacher. benefitted from the teacher through the field practical period.
The researcher used the statistical equation of Cronbach alpha, the number of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to the T. of P.E. to understand his role towards students of practical P.E. and of his commitment to stand most of the time beside the student who are practicing practical P.E. Finally, the cooperated teacher should be motivated in order to have full benefit
