Abstract

This research is a study of Misha' inscription, and identification of the various aspects of the

Moabite civilization that can be inferred from the inscription, and links it with the Archaeological

remains revealed by archaeological works. Consequently, we can identified various building activities

of King Misha' civil, military, and religious constructions as mentioned in the inscription. Also we

inspect the Moabite economy, and the interest of the Moabite King Misha in various economical

aspects: in trade through road building and paving, in agricultural and water systems, in grazing, in

industrial business, and in particular the textile industry.

We can deduce from the inscription the military aspects, like the Moabite military organization,

and Misha's military thought, also we identify aspects of the social life of the Moabite. In addition, the

inscription mentioned many Moabite sites, some still carrying the same name until the present time,

whereas, some names are changed. The researchers are trying to be reconciled with the archaeological

site that contains settlement layers related to Mobite era.
