Abstract: Holonomic systems are treated as singular systems using the Dirac method.  The holonomic constraints are considered primary constraints; the same as those obtained from the definition of the momenta.  It is shown that the Lagrange multipliers can be determined using the consistency conditions; where as the unknown coefficients of the Dirac method are just the total time derivatives of the Lagrange multipliers.
