Abstract:

 In this paper we reformulate the Yang-Mills field using fractional calculus with left-right Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives. Yang-Mills field is also rewritten using the technique of fractional variation principle. Euler-Lagrange equations and Hamiltonian equations of Yang-Mills field are then determined by the two definitions: fractional calculus and variation principle. It is found that the classical results are obtained as a particular case of the fractional formulation for Euler-Lagrange and Hamiltonian equations.
